The Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum 30ml carries an air of confidence that never announces itself: a fragrance drawn from the traditions of classical perfumery. Adrenaline pumping, she's always happy to ride the wave, to throw the doors open on a life brimming with excess and filled with superlatives. Her reward is that special state of elation that surges through her very being when she gets what she wants. The composition draws on vanilla, coffee, jasmine and pear, and wears for women with an easy, self-assured balance. Yves Saint Laurent carries the house name with the polish you would expect from it. The result is a piece worth returning to, season after season. Wear the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum 30ml as an everyday signature, or keep it for the occasions that deserve it.

Key features

An eau de parfum concentration, which carries a higher proportion of fragrance oil for a deeper, rounder character on the skin.
Built around notes of vanilla, coffee, jasmine, pear, pink pepper and cedarwood.
Sits in the ambery (oriental) family with a gourmand accent, so it feels familiar from the very first spray.
Expect roughly six to eight hours of wear, projecting confidently for the first hour before settling into a close, warm trail.
An ideal choice for evening wear and special occasions, and particularly at home in autumn and winter.

How to use

Spray onto clean, moisturised skin, as fragrance holds noticeably longer on hydrated skin.
Apply two or three sprays to the pulse points: the wrists, the base of the throat and behind the ears.
Let the opening settle on its own rather than rubbing your wrists together, which breaks up the top notes.
Refresh with a single spray later in the day, and keep the bottle away from direct sunlight and heat to protect the composition.
